Mr prime Minister we are also wary of gutter governance. wastage of public funds, poor decision, petit copinage, manzer boire. when will you tackle all these issues?

Myself living overseas, after having followed that case closely, I have no desire to holiday down in Mauritius soon. It is not one crime which is the issue, crimes happen everywhere, but the way the whole thing has been going on is a disgrace. Mauritians laughing in court? Fireworks outside the court? The family of the victim having a rough time during the whole saga & crime scene photos being published? Attempts to tarnish the reputation of the husband and the deceased? I would never have thought some Mauritians & a section of the media could be that insensitive. Not to forget that horrible crime happened in a 5 star hotel. That kind of behaviour is disgusting, some have to ask themselves, which side they are on: the criminals or the victims?

Vous voulez un audit; les mauriciens en Irlande depuis cette affaire doivent repondre qu'ils sont Indiens ou des Seychelles quand on leurs demande 'where are you from?' et depuis que le scandal des photos ca empire de jour en jour mon dieu QUELLE HONTE!!! Reveillez-vous bon sang!!!

The MTPA has the art of getting things wrong all the times. And they do it with their legendary arrogance, In stead of making an audit on the island's image at this painful moment, they should learn how to handle matters with utmost care, how to pay respect. Their move indicates an obsession to play down a crime to favor tourist arrivals. This is no time for surveys, nor time for jalsa. This is time for serious rethinking of the business and about time they become serious and credible, about time they ponder over their multiple blunders. After a branding fiasco, a cycling fiasco, a shopping fiasco, now they work hard to make a communication fiasco out of this sad affair. And still with their misfit arrogance. So cheap for a tourist office. When will they learn the basics?

Whatever anyone has to say on the matter, the fact remains that an innocent person, yet another innocent person, lost her life in Mauritius. Think of the last 2-3 years and think how many more have lost their lives? Many say crimes happen everywhere. Indeed. But does it make it alright?
This lady has family and friends, she was not Roche la rivire.
Our misjudged attempts to explain some of the very appalling behaviour of some of our country men are making the issue worse.
Now the MTPA goes to gauge the opinion of Mauritius in Ireland. Others further insult the Irish by proclaiming that their tourism is not required in our country. For me, this just degrades our reputation. Besides, that's what we are portraying ourselves to be: money hungry and devoid of compassion and sympathy. How many Mauritians and Irish are married, does anyone care how all the negativity is affecting these families? If the culprit is a Mauritian and really loves the country, he should come forward and end all this growing hatred towards our country. Listen to our National Anthem, it talks of our mother nation, it talks of peace and justice. If any member of your family is violently taken away from you, you want the person responsible to pay for their crime. The culprit should come forward, anyone who has any valuable information on the case should talk to the authorities. Do it for your family, do it for your country, do it for humanity!!!

No one can say that the tourism authorities are not working hard. After they finished their grandiose photo sessions and street dancing with half naked womenbrought at high costs to the island for their useless fiesta, now they realize that that they should survey the Irish people to know how they feel about Mauritius. This means a delegation of the same merry-makers should head to Ireland soon with our money to know what any average child can tell them right here on the survey results. Every reason is good 'pour faire la fete' as proudly decreed by "desvaux in the local press. While Labor party activists are busy doing damage control, pmsd roders boutes are busy planning the next fiestas now announced for every month. Navin was right. With his Govt, Bef continuer travail, mais souval et coq continuer manger faire la fete. Who dared say there is crisis around?

No need for audits - just go on the website and read all the silliness and racism on both sides. Most comments are inflammatory ... on both sides !! People back in Mtius should stop responding and should be careful about what they write on these social websites. The whole thing has turned into a circus with both side slinging mud to each other. And it gets worst day by day ... doesn't help either side and does not bring back the girl back to life and neither does it bring the murderer to justice.
