Formula 3 circuit to be constructed in Mauritius

The ambitions of Brian Holiday, British citizen of Mauritian origin, know no  limit.  His tackling and unrelenting determination has now brought him on the doorstep of a dream he always cherished during his youth in London.

“I have a passion for motorsports and went very often to Brands Hatch and  always told myself that one day I will have a formula three circuit in my native Mauritius”, says Brian Holiday.

The plans for the circuit are being finalised and will be available for both  car and motorcycle races. The track will cost over 15 million euros that is  more than half a billion rupees.

Brian Holiday is not new to investing in Mauritius. Since his arrival here in 2000, he has already invested Rs 35 and has bought a 35 room beach hotel overlooking the harbour in Port-Louis.

He says that he has already invested over Rs 35 million in Mauritius. His last investment was made recently to the tune of Rs 4 million when he  bought the South African franchise SureSlim which is enabling diabetics, pregnant women as well as health but obese Mauritians to shed weight in a natural way.  Even so, the formula 3 circuit seems extreme compared to the other  investment he has made on the island.

“The money for the formula 3 circuit is already here. You should have no worried on that” he says.  But what about return on such a huge investment for entertainment on an  island with only 1, 2 million people?

“The track will be used for international motor cars and motorcycle races.  You can indulge in these international meetings only if you have solid  contacts. The circuit will also be used to train ordinary drivers to become experienced drivers, for we will be equipped to simulate different weather  condition, such as rain and fog. But most importantly, it can  also be used  for Formula 3 race training programme  to give locals, people of  neighbouring countries and European tourists the opportunity to drive a higher formula of single seater with expert 1-1 tuition” explains Brian  Holiday.

The circuit will also be equipped for motorcross rally and BMX type bike competition.

Brian Holiday is not alone in this adventure. Foreign investors with  experience in the field of motor and bike sports are among his partners.
