Élections municipales: ce que les électeurs doivent savoir avant d’aller voter

 

L’heure de vote

Les bureaux de vote seront ouverts à partir de 7 heures dans les différentes villes. Les électeurs auront jusqu’à 18 heures pour accomplir leur devoir civique.

 

Pièce d’identité

Il faut impérativement avoir en sa possession une pièce d’identité pour pouvoir voter. Cette mesure est nécessaire, dit-on, pour éviter toute usurpation d’identité. Les électeurs doivent donc présenter leur  carte d’identité nationale. Un passeport, un permis de conduire ou un bus pass sont également des pièces acceptables.

 

Où voter ?

Pour connaître dans quel centre de vote un électeur doit voter, la personne peut consulter le site http://electoral.govmu.org et ensuite cliquer sur «Where you vote». Elle peut également envoyer «elec» espace et le numéro de la carte d’identité sur 789 pour avoir ces informations.

 

Comment voter ?

Pour ces élections, les citadins peuvent voter pour un maximum de quatre candidats.

 

Restrictions

Il est interdit d’utiliser un téléphone portable ou une caméra pour photographier ou filmer un bulletin de vote. La loi prévoit une amende de Rs 1 000 pour toute personne qui va à l’encontre de ce règlement.
