Following these few comments i would like to add something really special that i went through at a specific police station in the center of mauritius, where i was assigned to serve my community service order. I was treated like a slave, i was ask to wash police officers personal cars where it was stated to be at the service of the community not for those policemen, i was forced to give money to some policemen as i was told if i don't then the will lodge any type of complaint against me in order to get myself in trouble...when i stopped going over, i was told that i haven't completed my C.S.O and when i asked to complet it in another police station, i was given the same. I was harassed several time by the police officers which untill now am afraid to step in front of them. least but not last, officers smoking inside the police station, Drinking alcoholic drinks inside the station itself and even the highest ranked officer over there tolerated this. I hope that at least this will be published , not hide or delete it as it have been done by several other newpapers several times. thank you
Suicide of police officers out of frustration and despair

nothing is being done or said to make a change for a better management of the police force helpless people are forced to sign contracts of SEVEN + TWO years of compulsory service if they want to join the force for a job ... does this make the force more popular ?? does this make young people of today to dream to be officers of tomorrow ?? what is the press and the government ready to do to help to change this...??? NOTHING...NOTHING...NOTHING... NOBODY CARES ... WHO LIVES ...WHO DIES...HOW HE OR SHE DIES... WHAT A PATRIOTIC PITY...
I DONT THINK DCP BRUNEAU is the person
Par:-Keemesh Dec 03, 2009
I am a former police officer who left the country out of frustration. Once posted at the Grand Baie Coast Guard Station, I started to get on my studies for A level with the aim to do LLB. As I was working on a very irregular schedule, I had to seek official permission from the Commissioner of police to attend private tuitions. The officer in charge then was very reluctant to allow such permission to be processed as he never encountered such permissions before. after many many attempts to ask him to put his minute on the permission application, that permission was processed and sent to Coast Guard headquarters, where i was called and officially asked to attend the officer in charge of the NCG administration.and i was told about the complaints of the officer in charge of Grand Baie. i was expected to be and remain stagnant as a police Constable and just to do my duties like an obedient thing. I had to explain to the Officer in charge of NCG administration about my point of view of my ambition, then only the letter was processed. and ultimately the permission was indeed approved. once the news of the approval of the permission reached Grand Baie coast Guard Station, i was now the petty target of the Chief Inspector ( Officer in charge ) and his Yes Men ( Sergeant A...and his Crew ). A permission book Was "" CREATED "" on his orders and i was the known assignee to so many petty jobs and tasks such as cleaning yard, cleaning drains of kitchen and Toilet ( where this jobs should be done by specialised departments of the Ministry of works and public infrastructure. ) and these URGENT task was assigned to me just minutes before i was supposed to be on permission for my studies. ( just as a method to deter my motivation and ambition for my studies ) i then made an official complaint and wrote a letter THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL to the commissioner of police, aiming to make him aware about the way i was being targeted. official entries was made in the diary books of the station and then only the officer was forced to acknowledge the contents of the letter which was more against him and his yes men and the orders given. the letter was again sent to NCG HQ and i was again asked to come to the office of the NCG HQ and meet Officer In Charge ASP M... where i was continuously asked and told to withdraw the complaint and that the NCG HQ will deal with it and that there is no use to to go till the level of PHQ and ultimately the office of the Commissioner of poffice i insisted and persisted to proceed with the complaint to be sent to the PHQ. finally the letter was sent to PHQ despite several warning ( threats ) was given to me. and instead of Mr Gopalsing, it was some other high officer who attended the complaint and who turned out to be the close friend of the ASP M. after making my history and clarifications to the officer, and giving him details, he told me that he cant take actions against those people because they are the majority and i being the minority party, ( its better that i be removed from the Grand Baie Station ) and those action and discriminations against me went unpunished. and i was removed from Grand Baie and posted to NCG Headquarters. Then to Roche Bois police Station. i could not concentrate properly in my studies in all this ... it was so messy. i made several applications for even leave without pay for studies purposes and was repeatedly rejected. i was blacklisted for raising my voice against the ill treatments done to me. i was excluded for not being part of the CROWD,,, that only work , drink, smoke, and go home and come back and go through the routine.
