| C’est l’avis exprimé par le chef de la diplomatie mauricienne.
Il a fait cette déclaration lors d’une rencontre avec les opérateurs économiques mauriciens qui opèrent dans la Grande Ile.
Selon Arvin Boolell, il y va de l’intérêt de toutes les parties concernées aussi bien que de la région océan Indien.

The vexing indecision and deliberate duplicty by Micheletti in Honduars is a reminder of the need for constant vigilance. On another note, let me thank Honourable Boolell for having made it possible for Mauritius to have been part of the consensus of the UN Human Rights Council, of which Mauritius is one of the 18 members, to honour the request by the Palestinian Authority to hold a special session in Geneva yesterday and the day before, in which the Goldstone report was discussed. Of course, the Council endorsed the Report, and Israel (and less incriminatingly, the Palestinians of Gaza) will have to take follow-up actions soon. The special thanks to Honourable Boolell is not an empty expression of my personal relief, considering that no less a figure central to the Palestinian struggle than President Mahmoud Abbas himself had earlier agreed to postpone the discussion of the Goldstone Report for six months under the pressure of US guile backing Israeli cunning that immediate discussion of the Report would derail peace talks that Israel had, in any case, already torpedoed and that the US was unwilling to push for. It’s a victory to justice and human dignity, to which Mauritius can be proud to have contributed.
