One of the eight "smart cities" announced in the Budget Speech of 23 March is expected to be developed in the region of Plaine Magnien this year. The promoter, Omnicane Ltd has already revealed the outline of the project. The land development project will extend over 400 hectares in the zone near the airport of Mauritius.
