L’on dit que c’est lorsque l’information ne circule pas suffisamment que tous les fantasmes surgissent. Faudrait-il donc croire que les autorités gouvernementales et celles de la santé, publiques et privées, n’aient pas suffisamment communiqué sur la grippe A H1N1?
Le ministre de la Santé affirme le contraire. Il soutient, avec force, n’avoir caché aucune information. Il faut lui faire le crédit de ses nombreuses conférences de presse, ces derniers jours, pour tenir la population informée sur l’évolution de la situation.
Ce n’est pas tant à ce niveau qu’un problème se pose. Il faudrait davantage voir du côté des citoyens où, graduellement, s’installe une forme de psychose. Que le ministère de la Santé ait traité ce dossier par le bon bout ou non, ce sera aux spécialistes de se prononcer. Qu’il ait mal ou bien communiqué sur toute l’affaire, on laissera le soin aux experts de la communication de le juger.
Par contre, il y a une responsabilité citoyenne que l’opinion publique est appelée à jauger de manière objective. Les appréhensions, aujourd’hui, sont réelles. Que ce soit dans nos écoles, dans le transport en commun ou autre lieu de regroupement public…
A cet effet, la méfiance qui s’installe, dès qu’une personne semble présenter un symptôme de grippe, présente quelque chose de malsain. Avant de jeter un regard accusateur sur un concitoyen, il importe à chacun de se demander s’il remplit, lui, ses responsabilités? Chacun prend-il les précautions nécessaires pour affronter cette grippe?
L’île Maurice vit une situation exceptionnelle avec la grippe A H1N1. Au début, quelque part, personne ne pensait qu’on allait avoir à faire face à une situation de crise où les morts se succéderaient. Puis, l’inconcevable s’est produit. Nous sommes vulnérables. Nous ne sommes plus à l’abri des calamités et des maladies mortelles.
Le réflexe, qui a perduré jusqu’ici, témoigne d’une inconscience. Il ne se traduit pas seulement dans des occasions inédites. Il démontre une incapacité congénitale à anticiper, à se préparer à affronter les crises et à devancer les événements. Cela est autant vrai au niveau de la gestion économique que des problèmes sociaux de tout ordre.
C’est cette attitude qu’il importe de changer. Le monde d’aujourd’hui est celui de la survie. Et ne survit que celui qui sait prévoir. C’est à la fois la responsabilité des gouvernants que celle du citoyen. La psychose qui s’installe actuellement ne rend compte que du contraire.

Pour ine population de 1.2 millions de gens,5 morts c'est deja beaucoup.. pendant que les un cherche la faute a l'autre,des gens vont continuer a mourire... il est grand temps que ce sois notre appartenance communautaire ou politics,de nous montrer solidaire face a cette menace qui nous ravage sans que nous puissions rien faire. Nous sommes une nation riches et intelligent nous avons des capacite a revendre,alors STOP est luttons pour notre survie nous la nation arc en ciel... Soyons solidaire. | | | Azir | | | Les données en matière de grippe A H1N1 sont simples: elle peut facilement être soignée; elle ne peut être soignée en préventive; elle peut tuer si on n'administre pas de médicament (Tamiflu) au bon moment. La maladie est donc très simple à soigner mais elle peut aussi tuer si l'on agit pas efficacement. Dans la mesure où l'OMS a décrété que cette grippe est une pandémie - donc elle se propage rapidement en l'absence de soins nécessaires - et qu'elle a commencé à tuer certains de nos concitoyens, une politique d'informations nécessaires pour indiquer clairement que cette grippe peut se soigner facilement et qu'on a le stock de médicaments bien suffisant pour soigner toute la population, s'impose. Autrement, c'est la panique qui s'installe, comme on le voit malheuresement en ce moment. C'est dramatique pour la vie de nos citoyens, notre tourisme et notre économie en général. A qui donc la faute et qui sont malheureusement les victimes? Les autorités compétentes qui ne peuvent régler un problème aussi simple doivent se ressaisir et EXECUTER pleinement leurs devoirs d'informations, de précautions et de soins - sinon au bout, il y a la mort! La population a besoin d'être rassurée. Au lieu d'utiliser honteusement la télévision nationale MBC-TV pour des raisons de basse politique, les ministres et hauts fonctionnaires concernés feraient mieux d'être au service de la population pour l'encadrer et montrer qu'ils méritent au moins pour cette fois, leurs postes et leurs gros salaires et privilèges. Tout le monde doit monter au front pour dénoncer ces malfrats qui ne font pas leur travail et surtout les obliger, par tous les moyens, à le faire. | | | 5 Header | | | Je crois cette grippe c'est la nature qui l'envoie mais il faut prendre les précautions nécessaire de base. De là aller critiquer le governement sur ses mesures c'est d'affoler un peu la population. Il faut suggérrer des mesures constructifs et garder les critiques pour après. Si la population avit été bien informer et reçoit toutes les consignes nécessaire pour affronter cette virus, il n'y auar pas cette panique. On à peur de l'ennemie quand ont connait pas à qui on affronte. Le gouvernement est entièrement responsable de cette situtaion, c'est eux qui ont toutes les outils pour transmettre à la population à affronter cette grippe.Cette grippe est propager partout dans le monde et le gouvernement est conscient que cela viendra frapper à notre porte bientôt. Alors pourquoi que c'est à la dernière minute que le gouvernement se mobilise pour combattre cette grippe. On voit bien que ce gouvernement fait du sur place et qu'il n'y a pas un plan qui à été établie d'avance. Le cafouillage et le manque de compétence du ministre dans cette situation, à l'étranger ce ministre serait déjà au chomage de son portefeuille ministériel et je dirait même que le gouvernement en entier devrait par respect et moralité donner leur démission. | | | COMMONSENSE | | | COMMONSENSE.

It is time to look seriously at the full implications of this. We need to start by recognising that social collapse is a real possibility. And we are not talking about a remote future. Active Citizenship: Active Citizens are made, not born. Active Citizenship concerns everyone. A successful society depends on a partnership with citizens, civil society, unions, business, and elected representatives. Active Citizenship needs leadership. To contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skills, Social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change. Active Citizenship is not for someone else – it is for each one of us, as well as for government, businesses, the media, unions, and organizations. It is about how we engage with each other and create together a set of shared values for a better society. Active Citizenship refers to the voluntary capacity of citizens and communities working directly together or through elected representatives to exercise economic, social or political power in pursuit of shared goals. ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP – The Past -Much of the fabric of today's modern society was developed by the initiative of the volunteer movement in education, health, sport, trade unions, political parties, religious groups, NGO’s, and community groups. Much of the social reform enjoyed by us today was promoted by voluntary groups. ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP - Today at the end of the 20 th Century, due to various changes in society, government, recognizing the importance of the volunteer movement has become concerned about its apparent withdrawal from active participation. Most people believe volunteering is declining. When asked about their own organization, 50% said it had become more difficult to recruit. Is Active Citizenship/Social Capital declining? In the US, it seems to be – Robert Putman “Bowling Alone”. COMMENTATORS NOW ACCEPT: The nature of volunteering is changing. There is cynicism and lack of confidence in democratic and consultative structures – Individuals may feel they are not genuinely listened to. There is a sense of unease regarding economic changes that impact on the community. New ways need to be developed to attract, support and recognize the role of volunteers. ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP/ GOVERNMENT : Promote Active Citizenship and work with Active Citizens. Reinforce the ethos of public service. Promote group insurance schemes. Provide assistance to cover the cost of meetings. Support training at the national and local levels. Provide time-off schemes. Recognise volunteer and community activity in job applications. Introduce a national Active Citizenship theme each year. Introduce national presidential awards to recognize outstanding contributions to civic life. Explore new ways of connecting communities.Include citizenship in the school curriculum .The institutions of democracy, the market, the State – civil society as a whole – cannot operate in a sustainable way without the practice of civic virtue and without the active participation of citizens in the community.
