@ Jacky -Pure facts are infront of you , face them or accept them ,NCR is gaining in authority while .PRB is further ridiculising himself . SAJ is drained out with tipravind at his heel ,MSM has entered into the comatose period of it's life cycle. No one in sight , no adequate ,no respectable opponent. He is tossing up Mauritian politics at his own pace, turning all the opponents into fools. If that's not a smart political player then do not know what are the epithets that have to be used. I agree with Tonyboy that most of the people are now rodeur boutes and moutons too.

Li kapav creer enn couma linn fer dan le pass. Problem paret ailleur, si Bholah gagn minister, be Nita ek Kalyanee pa pou rest guetter san demissione!

Lepep | 08/02/12

If your party of bliss is so strong then why is it cowardly postponing municipal elections? Instead it has been begging/bribing (through ministerial posts) others to come and join! The Labour Party that has just discovered so many good qualities in Martin, Seetaram and now Bholah, is it not recognising the competence of Kalyanee & Nita?

Prime Minister Ramgoolam has announced that there is no reward for Pratibha Bholah such as a ministerial appointment albeit her defection is very welcome indeed.

Therefore, as politicians' statements go, be prepared for the Prime Minister to anounce, casually, that she has been appointed as Minister of {whatever} in, say, three to six months time.

Of course, this delay is necessary for the Prime Minister to workout whether he can get away with dismissing an existing minister or whether he has to create a new ministerial post. If you think this is too far-fetched, ask yourself whether this scenario is that much different from that when the Prime Minister rid himself of Mr Sithanen to make room for Mr Jugnauth.

If Pratibha Bholah has not been promised any personal reward for her defection, why has she done so? That this weakens the MSM is true enough but this does not benefit her personally. And she has a mandate until 2015; therefore, she is not in need of a ticket to stand for re-election.

Who does the electorate vote for? Is it the candidate or for the party? Is is the party that has the ideology/manifesto. I hope that the electorate has the right answer for Pratibha Bholah at the next election. Or, will all this have been forgiven after the plate of free briyani offerred during election campaigns?

It is funny, I had never heard Pratibha Bholah in any context, let alone with a view on any local issues. There are plenty of these - the national debt, electoral reform, media bias, the effect of the Euro Zone crisis, Diego Garcia, the contempt shown towards L'Express ... I need not go on!

Indeed,Prathiba Bholah has come up with a very poor and lame excuse to justify her 'transfizing' from MSM to PTR!She could always be given a post as minister without portfolio, attached to the PMO,advising NCR,on how to put his vision into action!Or she may be given the samme treatment as Nita and Kalyanee, that is ,fer travaye dan la kwizin!
